In 2007 my home was estimated to have replacement cost of $90000, a $20000 increase from $70000 in 2006 and of course this equates to an increase in the premium. Do I have any control over this? Can I leave it at $70000? I don't care if I come up short if it burns. Unfortunately I cannot extract a straight and complete answer from the agent or the insurance company.
