The Los Arqueros development in southern Spain can attribute much of its success to the peace of mind a large well established developer can provide to its clients. Here are some details on the company itself and its achievments since its humble beginnings in Blackpool, northern England in 1921.

The company actually achieved Limited status in 1935, with an approximiate capitalisation of 3millon GBP. The business was responsible in 1945 for the construction of Atlantic House, one of the first re-builds after the destruction of the City Of London after the second world war. The company continued to grow and started work interbationally including projects in North America, Africa and Europe. Strategic acquisitions started to take place, in order to assist with the businesses large and dynamic growth plans.

The company was responsible for the construction of a landmark building in the heart of the Liverpool city centre, the Christ The King Cathedral. This building is still one of the most recongnizeable structures in Liverpool to this day. They also were founder members of the Channel Tunnel consortium, the underwater link between England and France, itself a huge and complicated task.

In 2007 Taylor Woodrow merged with another well respected building George Wimpey, this alliance will help them achieve their goals of becoming the most prolific house builder in the UK.
