Hi Matt, I am Real Estate broker in Florida. It has been difficult for brokers. So I have decided to go the investment route.
Yes Florida is a nice place to live; however, the housing bubble has hit hard, especially in the Orlando area. There are pockets of appreciation in some gated communities where some vacant lots are being built on now. The price for the new homes are in line with the drop in the market, and so the upper middle class, who are looking for a solid investment are back in the market. The houses in Winter Garden in not too bad of area to invest in.

I can assure you, I won;t be one of those 90%!

I will definelty at the very least purchase one property. I am very very committed to this profession, hoping to go over the US next May/June with over $25,000 to invest with.

Being able to be my own boss and the freedom of the work appeals to me the most.

My plan is to go over for three months, where I would look for a job and while it gets processed stay in Canada or Mexico. That is the only way I have found out how to stay in the states as I don't apply to any visas. Been very unlucky as to find sponsors on the internet, because they look for degree holders or people who have been in their chosen field for 12 years!!! Pretty harsh as I decided to work and save for my down payments etc instead of studying.

So if I could ask you anything do you know any real estate companies that could take me on? And which one of the experts should I ask on which city to move to in the states?

Commercial keeps me busy, however residential is a night mare.
We missed Hurricane Ike some what... I live on the Atlantic and the waves are really big Surf much?

Why the move to Seattle?

It's been working great I have over 30 students right now (Wow) I didn't think I would get more than 5 and I was okay with that. I have been teaching my students how to automate there real estate business (wholesaling). I am putting together about 6 free special reports to also bring in more students. I will be writing a e-book very soon.

The market was doing fine until Hurricane Gustav came through last Monday. Now things will be in turmoil for a while. I was concentrating on wholesaling but now with all the damage, I will have to be patient.
