Has anybody used SEO services? I am planning to outsource SEO on my real estate blog. Any ideas on where to go or who to ask?

You can choose to outsource individuals or companies. I have no first hand experience but a friend of mine does. I'll ask her where she got people to do SEO on her site and I'll post their contacts here.
You can hire freelancers. Try Elance.com and Guru.com. They have SEO freelancers there.
You can hire a company. If you wanna go freelance, stay away from Pakistan and Indian SEOs, I'm not trying to be biased but their SEO practices are spammy. Trust me on this one, I'm trying to locate an article on this...
You can also start with learning SEO yourself. Why don't you read an abook about it? I heard SEOBook is a good read. :)
Let me just add that if you really have a good website, you don't need SEO. Traffic and visitors will naturally come thru personal referrals, although this proccess is really slow...
I think you need to consider your budget and the purpose of your SEO. Do you really just want to appear in Google's first page or you want to convert those visits into sales. Those two are entirely different things.
In my opinion it is best to outsource individual needs for your SEO campaign. Have a separate guy working for content, have another on web design and another on linkbuilding. This setup may not be the easiest but it is the best scheme if you want to have total control of your project.
Can you point me to that article?

I say learn SEO first before hiring freelancers. You should understand first what your employees will do or what you want them to do before you start hiring people.
Thanks for your feedback guys. I think I would sponsor first a Real Estate SEO Contest. I read somewhere that it is a good SEO tactic. :)
